The parcels at 590 and 600 Minnesota Street, in the Dogpatch neighborhood of San Francisco, are being redeveloped by UCSF to expand student housing near the Mission Bay campus. An integrated project delivery team is responsible for design and construction. Estructure is responsible for the structural engineering plan review services on behalf of the UCSF State Fire Marshal. This plan check involves the review of two similar buildings with a total area of 375,000 sf and construction cost of approximately $150 million. Plan review includes foundations, structure, building envelope, architectural components, mechanical/electrical/plumbing, fire protection and information technology systems. The reviews are conducted in a collaborative manner to facilitate the design and construction process.
