North Marin Water District Headquarters

Estructure provided structural engineering services for the renovation and expansion of the North Marin Water District headquarters. The project modernized the 1965 administration building (9,000 sf), which required significant structural modifications to remove interior bearing walls and columns, and relocate plywood shear walls to accommodate the new interior floor plan.
The project also included the addition of a new water quality laboratory building (4,000 sf). The new building was located adjacent to the existing administration building for interior egress, which required underpinning of existing foundations and modification of the existing roof overhang for seismic building separation.
