At Estructure, there are no glass ceilings. We believe that a successful career does not have to be a trade-off for meaningful personal pursuits – a full life can and should include both. We are excited to announce the promotions of two colleagues that embody this belief.
Heidi Schloegel is a thoughtful, accomplished structural engineer, a dedicated mother and wife, and now our newest Associate! Her contributions to the success of Estructure are matched only by her accomplishments outside the office. She has proven her leadership and talent for effective communication through her extensive work at the John Muir Health Walnut Creek Medical Center where she is guiding a collection of phased projects to complete wholesale renovations of multiple floors and achieve compliance with hospital seismic requirements. She is also the on-site presence for the 91,000 sf Women’s Hospital expansion currently under construction at El Camino Hospital in Mountain View.
Outside of work, Heidi and her husband are raising three energetic, warm and intelligent boys. Last year she undertook a complete restoration and seismic retrofit of their beautiful historic home in Piedmont. In any given week Heidi finds time to support her kids’ extracurricular activities, plan the next family trip and play pickle-ball with friends.
Another of our most treasured engineers, Megan Doxzen, has deservedly been promoted to Senior Project Engineer! After starting her engineering career on the east coast, Megan followed her passion and came west to complete a graduate degree at the University of California, Berkeley. All the while, she knew that she wanted to solve complicated engineering challenges collaboratively and with a boots-on-the-ground mentality. Since starting in 2016, Megan has been an integral part of the Estructure family and has never turned down a challenge. She tackles tough projects with attention to detail and computational acuity. She is an incredibly compassionate person and is always willing to help her coworkers.
Megan approaches her life outside of work with the same mentality. She strives to push herself, always another triathlon on the horizon (she previously completed a full Ironman!), and works in training sessions between her many hours dedicated to delivering projects. Megan likes to travel and have fun. She and her new husband Kevin like to be outside, hike, backpack and explore new countries whenever possible.
Estructure is fortunate to have such talented, dedicated, and fun-loving colleagues as Heidi and Megan. We hope you have the pleasure of knowing and working with them soon.
