El Camino Hospital Radiation Oncology Equipment Replacement

The existing Linac, CyberKnife, and HDR imaging equipment was replaced with a new state-of-the-art Halcyon Linear Accelerator, Edge Integrated Imaging Linear Accelerator, and Bravos High Dosage Radiation system by Varian. The associated MEP upgrades included new rooftop equipment and mechanical screen. Temporary structural measures were implemented to accommodate the path of travel of the massive equipment (including the 12-ton Linear Accelerator). Work was planned to minimize disruption and disturbance to patients and staff, and the building remained in service during construction.
