Estructure provided structural engineering services for the transformation of a 6,500-square-foot space into the Stad Center for Pediatric Pain, Palliative, and Integrative Medicine. This innovative clinic introduces a multidisciplinary approach to treating chronic pain in children, with an emphasis on creating a calm and playful environment. Architecture plays a key role in supporting this comprehensive care model, and the design process presented several unique structural challenges. These included accommodating curved partition walls, designing ceiling joists between non-orthogonal walls, and integrating specialized features such as climbing walls and suspended swings. Winner of the 2025 AIA Honor Award for Interior Architecture.
