Solmaz Jumakuliyeva, P.E.
Design Engineer

After receiving her Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from Princeton University, Solmaz obtained her Master of Science degree in Structural Engineering from UC Berkeley. Solmaz, who usually goes by Sol, is especially interested in seismic-resistant design and post-earthquake community resilience. At Estructure, Sol performs seismic evaluations of existing buildings and designs seismic retrofits. Her focus on post-earthquake recovery aligns with her experience designing seismic protection for nonstructural components in research, healthcare and academic facilities. Outside of the office, Sol chairs the Seismology Committee and Nonstructural Components Subcommittee of the Structural Engineers Association of Northern California (SEAONC). She recently obtained her P.E. license.
