Maryann Phipps Invited to Join the California Office of Statewide Health Planning and Development (OSHPD) Board.

The California Office of Statewide Health Planning and Development (OSHPD) Director appointed Maryann Phipps to the Hospital Building Safety Board (HBSB). Maryann currently sits on the Administrative Processes, Code Changes and Standard Details committee as part of the Facilities Development Division.

Board members in this role are responsible for the oversight of the review and inspection of health facility construction projects. This division has projects currently under plan review or construction valued in excess of $20 billion. The HBSB enforces building standards, per the California Building Standards Code, as they relate to health facilities construction. This Board, on which Maryann now sits, directs one of the largest building departments in the State of California.

Maryann was asked to join the OSHPD board due to her profound knowledge of Seismic Protection. Over 90 percent of Estructure’s project involve renovations and infrastructure improvements to healthcare facilities.

Maryann’s dedication to her field is an asset to the California Office of Statewide Health Planning and Development (OSHPD) Board and she looks forward to working with her fellow board members.
