The Building B77A Expansion at Lawrence Berkeley Lab is a 2200 square foot, stand-alone steel structure. The building houses a 27,000-pound furnace and 30,000-pound autoclave. The building has a steel tension-rod braced system, and is clad in insulated metal panels with support integral with the building frame. The building has a rooftop mechanical platform and adjacent mechanical equipment yard which serves the building.
