Chiara McKenney, S.E.
Senior Project Engineer

Chiara joined Estructure in 2013 fresh out of graduate school and rejoined in 2023 after a trip around the world and several years in applied research. She is an integral part of the Estructure team, managing projects and providing structural design and analysis services on hospital and laboratory renovations, structural repairs, seismic upgrades, and new design. Chiara’s collaborative, detail-oriented, and organized approach delivers exceptional results for her clients. Chiara is also a skilled technical communicator with experience managing multi-disciplinary teams and guiding groups to reach consensus. Chiara is an active member of the Earthquake Engineering Research Institute and currently serves as a Housner Fellow of the Institute. Internationally, she has supported the development of seismic retrofit and new construction designs for masonry buildings in Nepal and Haiti.
