Margaret Villamil, S.E.
Senior Project Engineer

Margaret joined Estructure in 2017, bringing with her a broad background in building design and assessment. Since beginning her career in 2004, she has designed new public school and university buildings, LEED Platinum homes, seismic retrofits and tenant improvements. She has five years of experience in pre-construction project reviews and seismic risk assessments, and has worked with San Francisco’s Building Occupancy Resumption Program to develop post-earthquake building inspection plans. Since joining the Estructure team, she has sharpened her focus on healthcare tenant improvement projects.

Margaret is a licensed Civil and Structural Engineer in California. She holds engineering degrees from UC Berkeley and UC San Diego, is a member of SEAONC, and has volunteered with Engineers Alliance for the Arts. A parent of three and an avid elementary school volunteer, she loves the varied nature of her days and the opportunity to constantly be learning on all fronts.
